2. The 8 quality criteria
Every question must pass all eight. A question that fails any one is discarded and regenerated — it never reaches a student.
Completeness
Full stem, the correct number of options in the right format, a valid correct answer, and a real explanation. Anything missing is discarded.
Answer distinctness
No two options may say the same thing. Near-duplicate options are a giveaway that a question was never reviewed by a human.
Correct answer validity
The explanation must actually support the option marked correct. If the reasoning points elsewhere, the question is thrown out.
Passage quality
Verbal Reasoning passages must be a genuine reading task — long enough to require comprehension, short enough to be fair under time pressure.
Explanation quality
Every question carries a written explanation of the reasoning, not a restatement of the answer.
Difficulty calibration
Every question is tagged to a difficulty level and held to that standard — a "hard" question that is easy is misleading.
No official reproduction
Nothing is copied from official or commercial exams. Every question is original, and the check for reproduced material runs automatically.
Format compliance
Option labels and counts must match the real exam: True/False/Can't Tell for VR, A–D for DM and SJT, A–E for QR.
3. What we throw away
Rejected — missing explanation
A question arrived with a correct answer but no reasoning. It was discarded and regenerated. A student who gets it wrong deserves to know why.
Rejected — two similar options
Two of the four options made the same point in different words. That makes the question ambiguous, so it never reached a student.
Rejected — wrong difficulty calibration
A question tagged "hard" that a student could answer from a single glance at the data. The tag was wrong, so the question went.
