Terms of Service

1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MedRise platform, including the website accessible at medrise.com.au, the web application, all associated features, mock examinations, study tools, and services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by MedRise ("we", "us", "our").
MedRise provides preparation resources for three medical admissions examinations: the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT), the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT), and the Bond University Psychometric Assessment. By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or making a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
2. Eligibility
To use MedRise, you must:
- •Be at least 13 years of age
- •If you are under 18, have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Platform and make purchases
- •Provide accurate and complete registration information
- •Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law
MedRise is intended for students preparing for the UCAT, GAMSAT, or Bond University Psychometric Assessment in Australia and New Zealand. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion.
3. User Accounts
When you create an account with MedRise, you agree to:
- •Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- •Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
- •Notify us immediately at medrise.au@gmail.com of any unauthorised use of your account
- •Not share your account credentials with any other person
Each account is for a single individual user only. You may not create multiple accounts or transfer your account to another person. MedRise reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Subscriptions, Pricing, and Payment
4.1 Subscription Plans
MedRise offers subscription plans for each exam type (UCAT, GAMSAT, and Bond) across three tiers, plus an All Access plan that includes all three exams:
- •UCAT Starter: $25.00 AUD/month or $59.00 AUD for 3 months
- •UCAT Premium: $35.00 AUD/month or $89.00 AUD for 3 months
- •UCAT Ultimate: $45.00 AUD/month or $109.00 AUD for 3 months
- •GAMSAT Starter: $30.00 AUD/month or $69.00 AUD for 3 months
- •GAMSAT Premium: $40.00 AUD/month or $99.00 AUD for 3 months
- •GAMSAT Ultimate: $50.00 AUD/month or $129.00 AUD for 3 months
- •Bond Starter: $20.00 AUD/month or $45.00 AUD for 3 months
- •Bond Premium: $25.00 AUD/month or $59.00 AUD for 3 months
- •Bond Ultimate: $30.00 AUD/month or $69.00 AUD for 3 months
- •All Access: $55.00 AUD/month or $249.00 AUD for 6 months (includes all three exams at Ultimate tier)
4.2 Launch Discount
For monthly subscriptions commenced between 20 October 2026 and 1 November 2026, a $10.00 AUD discount applies to the first month only. From the second month onwards, the full monthly price applies. This discount does not apply to bundle purchases or the All Access plan.
4.3 Bundle Access
Standard 3-month bundle purchases grant access to the Platform for exactly 90 days from the date of purchase. The All Access 6-month bundle grants access for 180 days. Upon expiry, your account will revert to free tier access. Your data and progress will be retained. You may resubscribe at any time.
4.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you authorise MedRise to charge your payment method for the applicable fees. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. MedRise does not store your payment card details.
4.5 Referral Codes
MedRise may offer referral codes through authorised partner organisations. Valid referral codes apply the discount specified for that code at checkout. Only one referral code may be applied per purchase. Referral codes cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless explicitly stated.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Monthly Subscriptions
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
5.2 Refund Policy
MedRise offers a 7-day refund policy subject to the following conditions:
- •Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the original purchase date
- •Refund requests must be sent to medrise.au@gmail.com with your account email and reason for the request
- •Refunds will not be issued if more than 3 Signature Mock Exams have been completed during the refund period
- •Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days
- •No refunds are available after 7 days of purchase under any circumstances
6. Platform Features and Limitations
6.1 Signature Mock Examinations
MedRise Signature Mock Examinations are available to all registered users regardless of plan tier. Each Signature Mock Examination may only be attempted once per user account. Once commenced, a Signature Mock Examination cannot be paused or restarted. Completed Signature Mock Examinations cannot be retaken under any circumstances. Refunds will not be issued solely on the basis that a Signature Mock Examination result was unsatisfactory.
6.2 Infinite Adaptive Mock Engine
The Infinite Adaptive Mock Engine generates unlimited, uniquely tailored full-length mock exams calibrated to your current performance level. Every question is freshly generated using AI and never repeated from a fixed bank. The engine profiles your per-section accuracy to set your peak difficulty, with 60% of questions at peak, 20% as stretch, and 20% as confidence builders. Your weakest section receives additional question weight for targeted practice. Availability varies by subscription plan.
6.3 Educational Disclaimer
MedRise is an independent educational practice platform. All Signature Mock Examinations, Infinite Mock questions, and practice questions are original content created by MedRise using AI generation and an automated 8-criteria quality scoring system. They are designed to simulate the style, format, and difficulty of the UCAT, GAMSAT, and Bond Psychometric examinations but are not official materials and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with UCAT ANZ, ACER (GAMSAT), Bond University, or any official examining body. MedRise does not guarantee any specific outcome on any actual examination.
6.4 Smart Tutor, Voice Tutor, and AI Features
MedRise uses artificial intelligence technology to provide Smart Tutor, Voice Tutor, Voice AI Interview Simulator, and other AI-powered features. The Smart Tutor adapts its teaching style, personality, and response depth based on your selected exam type (UCAT, GAMSAT, or Bond) and subscription tier. The Voice AI Interview Simulator provides practice interview scenarios with a text-mode fallback if microphone access is unavailable. These features are provided for educational assistance only. Responses generated by AI features may not always be accurate and should not be relied upon as professional, clinical, or interview advice. MedRise is not liable for any inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
6.5 Session Security
MedRise employs a single-session security system to protect your subscription from unauthorised account sharing. The Platform monitors active sessions using device type, browser, operating system, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. IP addresses are stored only as irreversible hashes. If a second session is detected on a different device or location, progressive warnings are displayed. Repeated conflicts may result in account flagging, mock exam blocking, or session termination. You can acknowledge or resolve conflicts from within the Platform. Full details are described in our Privacy Policy.
6.6 Study Buddy and Social Features
MedRise offers optional Study Buddy matching and Battle Mode features that allow you to connect with other users. When you use these features, your display name and study statistics may be visible to matched users. You can opt out of these features at any time through your account settings.
6.7 Referral System
MedRise operates a referral program that allows users and partner organisations to share referral codes for discounts on subscriptions. Referral codes are applied at checkout and only one code may be used per purchase. Referral partners may receive commissions for successful referrals, subject to the terms of the partner agreement.
6.8 Feature Availability
MedRise reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time with reasonable notice where possible. Feature availability varies by subscription plan and exam type. We reserve the right to change plan features with 30 days notice to affected subscribers.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use MedRise to:
- •Share, reproduce, or distribute any MedRise content including mock examination questions, passages, or scenarios without prior written permission
- •Share your account login credentials with any other person
- •Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate any part of the Platform or its content
- •Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape the Platform
- •Post or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
- •Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems
Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the MedRise Platform, including but not limited to mock examination questions, passages, scenarios, explanations, text, graphics, logos, software, and the MedRise brand name and tagline, is the exclusive intellectual property of MedRise and is protected by Australian and international copyright law.
Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to access and use the Platform for your own private educational purposes only. No content may be downloaded, copied, reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from MedRise.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, available at medrise.com.au/privacy, explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
10.1 No Guarantee of Results
MedRise makes no guarantee that use of the Platform will result in any particular score on the UCAT examination or acceptance into any medical or health program. Results depend on individual effort, ability, and circumstances beyond our control.
10.2 Platform Availability
MedRise strives to maintain continuous Platform availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from Platform downtime, technical errors, or interruptions.
10.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, MedRise's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to MedRise in the 3 months preceding the claim. MedRise is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Termination
MedRise reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
MedRise may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may request a refund in accordance with our refund policy if within the eligible period.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
